FAQ

Look at when tutors are available and what suits you best. If you are looking for someone to teach anything before GCSE it doesn't really matter who you choose, but look at their preferred age group. After GCSE pay close attention to specialisms. If a tutor thinks you would be better matched to someone else, they will say during your first session.

How do I pick my tutor?

01 /

Over the summer we intend to expand our business so there will still be tutors who have been checked and vetted by us to take over. In addition, current tutors will be available on Skype for online lessons and via email, also they will be home for 4 months of the year.

What happens when you go to university?

How do I join your tutoring service as a tutor?

We are always looking to expand but are very selective when it comes to new tutors for obvious reasons. We would encourage you to email applications to us. Obviously you must be a student, and we would prefer you to already have your AS results.

We are aware that there are many options when it comes to finding a tutor for your child. For this reason we offer a 50% discount on the first session, that way if you don't like the service we offer (though we really hope you do!) you can find someone else. In addition we come recommended, and you can request our references by emailing rebeccajthomas23@gmail.com

How can we trust this service?

Generally we would suggest that lessons are an hour long with perhaps an hour and a half for an introductory session. However, our tutors are incredibly flexible, if half an hour a week suits you best that is also possible, just halve the price! Equally if you want a more intensive session ask for 2 hours, this should also be possible.

How long are ordinary lessons?

Isn't a qualified teacher better?

This is something that depends entirely on the pupil. All of our tutors have a vibrant and fun approach to learning, our aim is to make you enjoy the subject, as well as succeed in it. It is perhaps easier for a younger person to identify with other students, they're still going through education and probably will have had similar issues in recent memory. In addition, despite all of these advantages, because we're not qualified we don't feel justified to charge as much as many tutoring services - we don't believe you need a qualification for one-on-one tutoring, just intelligence, quick-thinking and empathy.
