First Lessons
The first lesson is mostly about getting to know the student and the learning methods they'd prefer. For this reason we would recommend the first lesson is 1 and a half hours.
What will we bring?
What should the students bring?
Students should bring the following to their very first lesson with their tutor:
- A pad and pens
- A recent example of marked work in their chosen subject(s) - for further indication of what this means please ask specific tutor.
- Any textbooks or resources that the students are expected to work from or are provided by the school
- For students in exam years, a list of the exam boards that they are studying with - this will allow tutors to make sessions more specific.
From this point onwards all tutors will bring key books to use in the lessons, any worksheets or other multimedia exercises for the student to complete.
Tutors are more than happy to look at homework set by schools in these sessions but WILL NOT do this homework for the student.
